Scroggs & Grizzel Contracting Inc is seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Carpenter/Laborer to join our Clermont, GA crew. You will perform rough and finish carpentry on commercial projects and help build quality structures that last.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating hand and power tools, and working safely outdoors with a strong work ethic. OSHA 10 is a plus; reliable transportation to job sites is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction, carpentry, or general labor preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow construction plans.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard construction equipment.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working outdoors in varying weather.
• Reliable transportation to Clermont, GA area.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry work on commercial construction projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to complete tasks accurately.
• Frame walls, install doors, windows, and other structural components.
• Assist with general labor duties including site prep, material handling, and cleanup.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Work collaboratively with crew members, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
• Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols on the job site.
