Job summary

HITT Contracting in Atlanta, GA seeks an Assistant Project Manager to coordinate information, budgets, and schedules for commercial construction projects while learning leadership along a defined growth path. The role emphasizes delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the stated quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 4-year degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience acceptable.
• 2–5 years in commercial construction preferred, experience with a GC is helpful.
• Experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Ensure required documentation is filed.
• Assist in budgeting for all assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in project meetings, milestones, and monthly owner reports.
• Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, pay applications) and approve/pay change orders.
• Update project schedule and ensure quality control.
• Assist in closeout process.
• Collaborate with the project superintendent and site operations team.
