Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. in Houston seeks an experienced Commercial Construction Assistant Project Manager to coordinate information and authorizations for projects, keep them on time and on budget, and uphold quality standards.

As an APM you will support budgets, pre-construction packages, meetings, schedules, RFIs, submittals, pay apps, and closeout, working closely with superintendents and operations teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years of commercial construction experience, including GC exposure.
• Experience on commercial job sites preferred.
• Ability to master sector software (Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD Edwards).

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety standards adherence.
• Ensure required documentation is filed.
• Assist in creating and managing project budgets for all assigned projects.
• Develop pre-construction RFP packages.
• Assist in project meetings, milestones, and owner reports.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and pay applications; approve pay apps.
• Update project schedule and ensure quality control and logistics.
• Assist in closeout and collaborate with superintendent and site operations.
