Job summary

Doggett Concrete Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher for our commercial division. This role involves placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on commercial projects while upholding our standards for quality, productivity, and safety.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with commercial concrete work, works well in a crew, and is dedicated to producing high-quality finished surfaces. Full-time position with opportunities to assist with other concrete tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Commercial concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Clean record and valid driver's license.
• Dependable with on-time attendance.
• Willingness to work early mornings and overtime when needed.
• Physically demanding work including lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be capable of completing a Job Specific Physical.

Responsibilities

• Place, spread, level, screed, and finish concrete on commercial projects.
• Finish slabs, foundations, footings, walls, sidewalks, and pads.
• Perform hand and power trowel finishing as required.
• Use floats, edgers, groovers, trowels, screeds and other finishing tools.
• Apply broom and other specified finishes; establish elevations and tolerances.
• Assist with placing, forming, stripping, cleanup, and related activities as needed.
• Monitor concrete during placement and finishing to determine timing of operations.
• Inspect finished work and maintain safe, clean work areas.
