Responsibilities

The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for assisting the team in the development of a range of client estimates as well as managing projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for a go-getter who’s not afraid to shake things up by bringing new ideas to the table. Efficiency, quality and accuracy are paramount. To perform in this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · Manage the projects you have estimated as well as others as needed.

· Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for material and labor costing in Plan Swift.

· Prepare estimates in detail for all parts of the job with a breakout by material, labor, equipment, and incidentals for completion of the job. Identify the estimated number of days to complete the job. Be knowledgeable of the requirements of the project including the specifications and materials.

· Submit Request for Information as needed to insure all available information is available for a good estimate or to resolve any ambiguities.

· Manage and incorporate sub-contractors or vendors submittals into our cost estimate and be able to identify this in the estimate.

· Prequalify trade partners that meet the high standards of the industry as well as company.

· Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings as required or assigned to ascertain the requirements or the special provision required. Create detailed project schedules.

· Assist and work with field personnel in addressing questions or issues that may arise in the field.

· Be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while making consistent progress.

· Teach, guide, encourage and supervise other team members.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced, chaotic environment while focusing on results.

· Develop/innovate means and methods to complete projects that creates opportunities for increased profit margins and efficiency.

· Continually identifying cutting-edge best practices while staying current with industry standards.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Ability

We want an expert in the field of concrete! Thorough knowledge of the concrete industry, estimating techniques, all engineering disciplines, cost control systems and accounts required. Ability to estimate all types of projects/contracts using a full range of concrete finishing and best practices in conjunction with the ability to coordinate group work effort. We require a high level of proficiency using technology, contractual understanding as well as exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Education

4 Year engineering degree or an equivalent combination of education, project management, technical training and related experience is required.

Experience

4-8 years extensive concrete construction industry and estimating experience, or an equivalent combination of education, project management, technical training and related experience in the concrete industry.
