Enterprise Bank & Trust in Clayton, MO is seeking a Commercial Compliance Advisor to collaborate with lines of business on regulatory changes, provide guidance on projects, and strengthen risk controls across lending and deposits. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of regulatory compliance experience in banking, with knowledge of ECOA, FHA, HMDA, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA and RESPA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a compliance field is preferred.
  • 7+ years of regulatory compliance experience in banking.
  • Knowledge of ECOA, FHA, HMDA, UDAAP, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, SCRA and RESPA.
  • Strong research, analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lines of business to implement regulatory changes.
  • Analyze regulatory changes and summarize requirements and impacts to the Bank.
  • Evaluate policies, procedures, and controls to identify risks and develop corrective actions or remediation plans.
  • Provide compliance guidance regarding products, services, disclosures, and internal procedures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for commercial compliance laws and regulations.
  • Assist in risk assessments and training activities to maintain the Compliance Management System.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends.
  • Proactively assess risk in business processes through internal monitoring.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as necessary.

Commercial Compliance Advisor (CCA)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the lines of business on implementation of regulatory changes and provide guidance and support on projects and process enhancements.
  • Analyze regulatory changes and develop a summary of requirements and impacts to the Bank.
  • Evaluate policies, procedures, and controls to identify risks and work with impacted areas to develop corrective action or executing remediation plans.
  • Provide compliance advice and guidance regarding development of products, services, internal procedures, disclosures, etc.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert of all commercial compliance deposit and lending-related laws and regulations.
  • Execute training; contribute to the Bank’s Risk Assessment, and other activities to maintain a satisfactory Compliance Management System.
  • Work closely with the lines of business to ensure business processes are working effectively and there are adequate controls to mitigate commercial compliance risk.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends.
  • Proactively assess risk in business processes through internal monitoring.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to ECOA, FHA, HMDA, UDAAP, TILA, FCRA, FDCPA, SAFE Act, MLA, SCRA and RESPA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Effective project management skills to lead and contribute to regulatory implementation projects.
  • Strong research, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with ability to identify compliance risks and issues for escalation to management, as necessary.
  • Ability to manage workload and shift priorities in a dynamic and rapidly-changing environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience in a compliance function within a banking environment.
  • 7 +years of experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge / experience working with commercial lending.
Computer and Software Skills
  • Microsoft office suite.
  • Prior experience, or ability to learn, Centrax, Salesforce, Encompass.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
  • CRCM designation or equivalent risk management certification preferred
