Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to perform routine cleaning tasks, including mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal in designated areas.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience; familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety practices is preferred. The position offers hourly pay and potential benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience preferred; facilities, maintenance, custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas of the building designated by the supervisor.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment including moving/rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process per company standards.
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service trainings.
• Follow basic work routines and standards; use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.

Job description

As a CBRE, GDS Commercial Cleaner, you willbe responsible forbasic cleaning duties. This includes mopping, sweeping and trash disposal. You willbe responsible forensuring the cleanliness of your assigned areas.

Primary Job Functions

What you'll need:

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience
• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred

License/Certification

• Preferred: No specific certifications required
• Any relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus

Working Conditions:

• Occasional exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, and chemicals

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow established work routines and procedures
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• Ability to efficiently complete tasks within designated timeframes
• Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
