Job summary

NVT STAFFING, Inc. is seeking a commercial cleaner for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) in Culpeper, VA. The role requires at least 1 year of recent commercial cleaning experience and pays $19 per hour.

The position involves cleaning floors, rugs, walls, glass, and disposing of rubbish, with occasional outside grounds maintenance and inventory tasks. Work schedule is afternoons/evenings with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person required under ITAR/EAR.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of commercial cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean working environment in both plants and office buildings.
• Sweep and mop floors, scrub and wax floors as required.
• Clean sinks, toilet bowls, fountains, and other fixtures.
• Vacuum offices, entry areas, halls and other areas as required.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Replenish tissue, towels, soap, and other sanitary stations in restrooms.
• Minimal maintenance of the outside grounds (emptying trash, snow removal).
• Conducts weekly inventory of supplies and equipment needed to maintain sanitation and informs Administrative Assistant of supplies that are needed.
• Monitor building premises to ensure occupant and/or visitor safety.
• Confer with coworkers to coordinate maintenance or cleaning activities.
• Perform any other janitorial work necessary in connection with the site operation

Job description

Part of a 2-person team. The day shift is already staffed so this is for 2nd shift (2pm10pm).

I need a commercial cleaner with at least 1 year of recent commercial cleaning experience.

$19/hour & shift schedule is going to be afternoons/evenings.

The current schedule is ~2PM - 10PM, but there's a little flexibility in those times during the afternoon/evening window.

Keep buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

This position is subject to the requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR), as such, applicants must be a U.S. person defined as a citizen, national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

High School diploma or equivalent

1-3 years of experience in commercial cleaning is preferred

Mostly office environment with daily exposure to a manufacturing plant environment which requires the use of personal protective equipment including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Manufacturing areas may be affected by outside temperatures and machining.
