Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator for our leading commercial carpentry team in the Greater Chicagoland area. You will support preconstruction and bidding for interior projects, including metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and doors.

This role offers a competitive base salary ($100,000-$130,000), a comprehensive benefits package, 401k with company match, and a collaborative environment with long‑term workload.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial carpentry or interior construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Experience reviewing bid documents and coordinating with subs and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Estimate metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, and rough carpentry.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Review bid documents, addenda, and scope requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers during preconstruction and handoff.
