Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking an experienced carpenter to perform a wide range of commercial carpentry tasks under supervision of the Senior Construction Superintendent. Duties include framing, sheetrock, doors, millwork, ceilings, and finishes, with travel up to 25% and potential on-call duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years of commercial carpentry experience, and the ability to read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and comply with safety and air

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least five (5) years of commercial carpentry experience.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of air quality standards and safety rules.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and new construction on foundations, walls, doors, windows, ceilings, and finishes.
• Plan and lay out work from blueprints and instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools and standard measuring instruments.
• Coordinate with other trades and staff; meet deadlines.
• Respond to emergency site maintenance and inspections as needed.
• Travel up to 25% and work alternate shifts as required.
