Job summary

Building and Land Technology (BLT) is seeking a dependable Building Engineer - Commercial to support day‑to‑day operations of its Harbor Point properties in Stamford, CT. This full‑time, hands‑on role focuses on troubleshooting building systems, preventative maintenance, and keeping operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in commercial maintenance, strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and the ability to work on a rotating on‑call

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in commercial building maintenance or related trade.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot building equipment independently.
• Familiarity with BAS and EMS preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Trade licenses or EPA certification are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and general upkeep of commercial building systems and equipment.
• Operate, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and BAS/EMS systems.
• Maintain HVAC equipment and associated water systems.
• Read blueprints and equipment specifications; maintain logs and work orders.
• Respond to tenant service requests and after-hours emergencies.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of mechanical and electrical spaces.
