Job summary

Beewise is seeking an experienced beekeeper or assistant beekeeper to manage and maintain healthy honeybee colonies for large-scale pollination at our Fort Meade, FL site. The role focuses on colony health, hive maintenance, and efficient pollination operations in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities include monitoring hives, addressing pests and diseases, transporting hives to orchards, and keeping detailed activity records.

Qualifications

Proven commercial beekeeping experience (3+ years preferred).
Experience with pollination.
Knowledge of hive management, pest control, and bee health.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions carrying up to 75 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
Ability to accurately and timely clock in/out working hours in cell phone app.

Responsibilities

Manage honeybee colonies to ensure optimal health and productivity for pollination.
Monitor hive conditions and address issues such as pests, diseases, and queen health.
Transport and set up hives for pollination assignments in orchards.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of hives.
Collaborate with other team members to meet pollination targets and timelines.
Maintain detailed records of hive activities and conditions.
