Job summary

Highland Bank in Saint Paul, MN seeks a Commercial Banking Associate to coordinate the sales efforts and manage documentation for commercial banking and lending while delivering strong customer service to the commercial client base.

The role includes loan reviews, deposit account management, care calls, and collaboration with officers to drive new business and ensure regulatory compliance. Three to five years in business lending support and an AA degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of bank operations and regulatory requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with banking products and services.
• Experience with loan documentation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general customer service to Commercial Banker portfolios and respond to loan inquiries.
• Open and manage deposits, monitor overdrafts, and resolve account exceptions.
• Conduct care calls and identify sales opportunities while updating records.
• Coordinate with account officers on loan and cash management products.
• Perform pre/post-close loan reviews ensuring compliance and lien perfection.
• Maintain required documentation and assist with renewals and disbursements.
• Identify new business opportunities within the Commercial base.
• Protect privacy and security of all customer records.
