Job summary

Blue Chip Talent is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial AV integration projects from kickoff to completion in the Grand Rapids area. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage schedules, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations and budget constraints.

The role requires hands-on AV installation background, strong scheduling and procurement skills, and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous project management experience within the commercial AV integration industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial AV systems and integration projects.
• Knowledge of how AV systems interact with construction trades and job site activities.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in varying stages of execution.
• Experience coordinating purchasing, installation scheduling, subcontractors, and equipment logistics.
• Proficiency with project scheduling, documentation, and project management software.
• Previous hands-on experience as a Commercial AV Installation Technician.
• Experience managing 20–30 active projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of commercial construction project workflows.
• Experience coordinating field teams and installation managers.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial AV integration projects from kickoff through final completion.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and establish project execution plans.
• Coordinate with Project Coordinators, Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, and Installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage installation schedules, equipment procurement, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee subcontractors and ensure work aligns with project requirements.
• Communicate regularly with clients and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor multiple active projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Visit project sites to verify progress, support installation teams, and ensure successful project execution.
