Job summary

IES Communications is seeking an experienced AV installer to set up commercial audio/visual systems. Knowledge of InfoComm standards and manufacturer specs, plus the ability to interface with clients, is essential.

Travel within branch/territory is required. The role involves cable pulling, rack building, hanging projectors, mounting displays, installing speakers and cameras, and performing expert-level troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Must have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
Formal education in electronics or related field preferred.
Some experience with AV installation techniques or field servicing.
Experience with video conferencing platforms (Polycom/Cisco/LifeSize) preferred.
Good experience in AV residential field including structured wiring and smart house designs.

Responsibilities

Installation of commercial AV systems including cable pulling, rack building, and hanging projectors.
Install displays, speakers, cameras, ceiling and tabletop microphones.
Terminate cables and conduct terminations per diagrams.
Troubleshoot AV systems to expert level and test wiring.
Work with projectors, video conferencing systems, screens, and controls.
Build rack-out and provide process improvement feedback.
Adhere to industry safety standards and interface with clients.
