Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Transportation Physical Damage Claims Adjuster to join our remote-first claims team. You will handle inquiries, guide customers through the claims process, and manage an inventory of cases with timely reserves and investigations.

Strong analytical ability and exceptional communication are essential as you coordinate vehicle repairs, assist with rentals, and pursue subrogation opportunities. A proactive, empathetic problem-solver will thrive here in a flexible, nationwide role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience on commercial transportation claims.
• Active adjuster license required (resident or DHS).
• Willing to obtain all licenses within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous and high-quality customer service to policyholders and claimants by responding to inquiries, initiating investigations and resolving claims.
• Gather necessary information from customers to initiate the claim and explain policy, coverage, and course of action
• Manage an inventory of claims, establish initial reserves, and adjust as needed through the claim
• Coordinate the repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement
• Recognize recovery opportunities in subrogation and salvage, as well as total loss
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and SOPs
• Communicate with involved parties and negotiate settlements within approved authority
• Provide input for guidelines and process improvements
• Oversee outside investigative services and coordinate with client counsel
• Engage in learning opportunities to expand knowledge of personal lines claims and policy changes

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Transportation Physical Damage Claims Adjuster to join our team.

You will be responsible for speaking to customers on the phone, educating and helping the customer work through their claim to the best possible outcome. Your role will also be responsible for handling an inventory of claims, triaging critical claims, and delivering exceptional customer service!

What you’ll do

• Manage an inventory of claims, establish initial reserves for all potential exposures, and adjust as appropriate throughout the claim
• Coordinate the repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement
• Recognize recovery opportunities in regards to subrogation and salvage, as well as total loss
• Ensure compliance with specific state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures
• Communicate with involved parties and negotiate appropriate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys within approved payment authority
• Provide input for continuous development of claims guidelines, best practices, and process improvements
• Oversee and direct outside investigative service providers and work closely with the client and client counsel and investigative services to resolve the claim
• Engage in learning opportunities to build knowledge of personal lines claims, court decisions impacting the claims function, current guidelines in claims function, and policy changes and modifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (lack of one should not stop you from applying if you possess all the other qualifications)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience on commercial transportation claims, dealing with Third-Party PD/Total Loss
• Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license
• You’re willing to obtain all licenses within 60 days, including completing any state required testing
• Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures
• Commercial experience necessary
• Ability to analyze and evaluate claims data and make sound decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Curious and motivated by problem solving and questioning the status quo
• Desire to engage in learning opportunities and continuous professional development
