Job summary

Bloom Talent Solutions is helping a private pond, lake, and fisheries management firm recruit an Aquatic Biologist for West Tennessee. You will diagnose biology on-site, translate findings into service recommendations, and manage commercial and HOA accounts.

This build-out role requires a biology background, credibly discuss algae/weed types with clients, and ideally a commercial aquatic herbicide license. Travel within a ~3 hour radius is expected.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in biology or related field or equivalent hands-on aquatic field experience.
• Able to discuss algae species and weeds credibly with customers.
• Pursuing or holding a commercial aquatic herbicide applicator license/certification.
• Willing to be evaluated on sales and production performance, not only technical skills.
• Strong field-ready, customer-facing communicator who builds trust with managers and developers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine pond and lake inspections and water quality evaluations to diagnose issues.
• Identify and manage aquatic vegetation and algae; lead herbicide application for commercial accounts.
• Sell and manage commercial and HOA accounts by translating biology into service recommendations.
• Work from warm leads; collaborate with outside sales while avoiding door-to-door selling.
• Cross-train on fisheries work as needed, with a supporting technician handling labor.
• Partner with an assigned technician to focus on inspections, diagnosis, and growth.
