Job summary

RiskWell is a fast-paced commercial insurance brokerage seeking a Client Relationship Manager to blend CSR duties with account management in a hybrid, W-2 role.

You will cultivate client relationships from the initial sales process through the client lifecycle, manage the CRM, draft proposals, and coordinate renewals with the Risk Advisor. A Texas General Lines license and 1 year of agency experience are required.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of insurance agency experience required.
  • Public-facing CSR-type experience is a plus.
  • Active Texas General Lines license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage the CRM pipeline and renewals.
  • Coordinate with Risk Advisor to process sales workflows.
  • Prepare and send proposals as part of the Sales Workflow.
  • Ensure complete submissions for all accounts with ACORDs and related documents.
  • Communicate with prospects and clients via calls and emails.
  • Identify training opportunities and learn account history from emails.
  • Monitor accounts payable status to ensure timely payments.
  • Assist with endorsements, loss runs, and policy documents.

Description

This role is a full-time W-2 non-exempt, hybrid environment role. The compensation is a base salary plus a commission split on both new business AND renewals.

***NOTE: If you don\'t have at least one year of experience in an insurance agency, please don\'t apply for this role. We do not have the training capacity to get a rookie up to speed.***

Purpose

Cultivate and actively manage the client relationship beginning with the initial sales process and continuing throughout the client lifecycle.

Routine Decision Making

Team members are empowered to make decisions and act on all service requests, policy changes and cross sell opportunities.

Supervisory Responsibility

None. Reports to Vice President of Sales with dotted line to CEO.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Manager

  • Proactive action

  • Capturing notes
  • Knowing policies and coding correctly
  • Read through departmental emails to learn about account history
  • Inbound/Outbound calls
  • Identify training opportunities
  • Use critical thinking when evaluating inbox/policies/requests
  • Assist Risk Advisor in performing sales workflow
  • Update pipeline with notes and accurate status
  • Perform renewal workflows and actively manage the Renewal Pipeline
  • Account Management
  • Drafting and sending proposals as part of the Sales Workflow
  • Working the Account Submission Workflow in coordination with Risk Advisor
  • Communication with prospects and clients as needed
  • Ensure a “complete submission” is ready for all accounts
  • Executive summary

  • Communicate with underwriters in coordination with Risk Advisor

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:

Knowledge

Prior insurance agency experience of 1-3 years is required. Prior experience in a public-facing CSR type of role is a positive.

Skills/Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Formal Education

Active license at General Lines Insurance Agent with Texas Dept of Insurance. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor\'s degree in relevant field preferred.
