Job Overview

The Commercial Banking Relationship Manager's main responsibility is business development, credit quality, relationship development, and retention. They act as a liaison with other business line partners to meet their clients' banking needs.

Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Business development focusing on acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing clients. Respond quickly and effectively to all new business referrals from Senior Management, the branch network, or other areas of the bank.
  2. Develop a network of external referral sources/centers of influence (COIs) to attract new clients.
  3. Maintain, grow, and service assigned portfolios, cross-selling other bank products. Drive the profitability, quality, and growth of the portfolio.
  4. Negotiate terms of lending agreements with clients/prospects to structure and price credit facilities according to the bank's policies. Prepare credit packages for approval and present them to the appropriate credit authority.
  5. Ensure current financial information is obtained, analyzed, and on file. Monitor and report changes in credit quality.
  6. Oversee the loan closing process, ensuring legal documents reflect all terms, and that all necessary documents and signatures are in place for proper closing.
Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Proven prospecting and relationship enhancement abilities.
  • Ability to critically review, analyze, structure commercial loans, cross-sell bank products, and respond effectively to client questions.
  • Knowledge of credit underwriting, basic accounting, and loan documentation. Formal credit training is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, exercising sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and prospecting/tracking tools like Salesforce or nCino.
  • Familiarity with professional business practices such as time management, communication, and appearance.

Required Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years related lending and/or credit experience in the community or industry involvement in the area.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related business field and/or formal Commercial Credit training.

Full-time/Part-time: Full-time

FLSA: Exempt

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States

Pay Range: $110,600.00 - $195,700.00 per year
