Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Floor Technician to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained floor areas across the facility. You will perform sweeping, mopping, stripping and refinishing of hard floors, vacuuming carpets, and operate floor-related equipment.

The role requires adherence to SOPs and PPE guidelines, with responsibilities including maintaining equipment and supporting warehouse safety. Minimum of a high school diploma and 2 years of floor cleaning experience are required.

• 2 years of floor cleaning experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, stripping and refinishing of hard flooring surfaces following SOPs.
• Vacuuming and scrubbing carpeted surfaces.
• Move furniture as needed and return items to their original place.
• Monitor supply and request cleaning solutions as needed.
• Ensure floor machines are clean and in good working condition.
• Handle cleaning chemicals with PPE and guidelines.
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Participate in recycling activities and waste disposal.
• Operate forklifts, ride-on pallet jacks, and tugger.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all floor areas of the facility are kept clean, safe and well-maintained. Your duties will include cleaning and maintaining carpets, hard surface floors and any other floor areas.

• Performs sweeping, mopping, stripping and refinishing of hard flooring surfaces following standard operating procedures.
• Vacuums and scrubs carpeted surfaces following standard operating procedure.
• Moves furniture and other objects as needed in order to complete floor care and returns all moved items to their original place upon completion.
• Monitors supply and requests additional cleaning solutions as needed.
• Ensures all floor machines are kept clean and in proper working condition.
• Handles various types of cleaning chemicals in compliance with established guidelines and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Reports any conditions requiring maintenance attention or repair to immediate supervisor.
• Performs warehouse recycling activities and monitors trash disposal
• Operates forklifts, ride-on pallet jacks, and tuggers
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certification

• REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent
• REQUIRED: 2 years experience cleaning floors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Working knowledge of all types of flooring surfaces, appropriate care, and proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
• Working knowledge of warehouse safety and material-handling equipment.
• Previous experience using a ride on pallet jack and tugger
