Job summary

Kleinfelder in Irving, TX is seeking a CoMET Laboratory Geotechnical Technician Professional to join our Construction Services team. You will perform daily routine testing of construction materials and geotechnical samples, prepare reports, and work with peers, supervisors, clients, and regulators in a collaborative, safety‑minded environment.

BS in Civil Engineering or Geosciences is required; EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or Geosciences required.
• EIT certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 0–3 years of construction materials laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine testing of construction materials and geotechnical samples.
• Perform concrete cylinder compression testing.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets for supervisor review.
• Maintain professional relationships with peers, clients, and regulators.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and ability to multitask across tasks.

Kleinfelder’s Irving (DFW) TX office is looking for a CoMET Laboratory Geotechnical Technician Professional to join our team.

We are looking for someone experienced in:

• Performing daily routine testing of construction materials and geotechnical samples
• Performing concrete cylinder compression testing
• Following proper procedures and standards
• Performing accurate computations
• Performing accurate report preparation
• Maintaining cordial relationships with peers, supervisors, clients, subcontractors and/or regulators.
• Providing a positive work attitude and ability to work safely and efficiently when managing multiple tasks
• Demonstrating the ability to work independently or with a team in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred

The Laboratory Technician Professional will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

The preferred candidate will have 0-3 years of construction materials laboratory testing experience.

The ideal candidate will also have:

• BS in Civil Engineering, Geology, Earth Sciences, or Geosciences is required.
• EIT is preferred (or the ability to obtain within 6 months)
