The Combustion Turbine (CT) Plant Maintenance Mechanic will be stationed at the ODEC Marsh Run Generation Facility in Remington, Virginia, supporting plant operations at Marsh Run and the Louisa Generation Facility in Louisa, Virginia. Responsibilities include managing mechanical systems through preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating activities, and implementing new processes to improve plant equipment operation.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Executing mechanical maintenance activities to support reliable plant operations
  • Performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of plant equipment
  • Using CMMS system to adhere to maintenance schedules for equipment availability and reliability
  • Maintaining compliance with environmental and safety standards
  • Implementing strategies for optimal equipment efficiency
  • Communicating with plant staff and vendors
  • Supporting outages at Marsh Run and Louisa Facilities
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintaining shop organization and tool inventory
  • Managing vibration analysis of rotating equipment
  • Ensuring timely and accurate gas turbine borescope inspections
  • Updating equipment modifications as per manufacturer recommendations
  • Handling hot work activities effectively
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Walking on uneven surfaces and climbing stack ladders up to 60 feet
  • Distinguishing colors correctly
  • Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds occasionally
Qualifications

Minimum 4 years’ experience as an operator/mechanic in a power plant, military or mechanical experience considered. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Travel

Travel to Louisa Generation Facility as needed.
