Job summary

Worley is seeking a skilled welder for on-site fabrication and repair work in the Texas Baytown area. You will align and weld components to assemble machinery frames, tanks, vessels, shells, buildings, and pipe per blueprints and metallurgy.

The role requires reading blueprints and performing repairs across piping, boilers, towers, exchangers, and drums with arc or gas welding methods. Safe operation and quality workmanship are essential in this industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
• Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Product quality work with reasonable efficiency
• Perform simple piping installations and repairs
• Assist other mechanics

Position Summary

Lays out, aligns and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy.
