Job summary

EXCEL Group is seeking an experienced Combo & RIG Welder to join our Phoenix team. You will ensure structural integrity of welded components across diverse industrial projects, using Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core techniques.

The role requires reading blueprints and welding symbols, fabricating metal structures, and maintaining strict safety standards. Per diem and a 5/10 schedule are provided in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Certification in welding preferred.
• Proven experience as a Combo Welder in industrial environments.
• Proficiency in Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and welding standards.
• Attention to detail and quality welds.
• Physical ability to work in various positions.
• Strong safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core as required.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and piping with precise welds.
• Select welding methods and materials based on metal type and thickness.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning and grinding, removing scale and slag.
• Position and clamp workpieces securely for welding.
• Operate welding equipment safely to produce high-quality welds.
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure standards compliance.
• Collaborate with fitters and inspectors for accurate assembly.
• Assist in setting up welding projects and ensuring alignment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow protocols.

EXCEL Group is seeking a experienced Combo & RIG Welders to join our team. As a Welder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the structural integrity and quality of welded components across various industrial projects.

$875 a week Per Diem

Work Schedule: 5 / 10s, 6:00AM-4:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding tasks using a combination of different techniques, such as Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core, depending on project requirements.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to comprehend welding specifications and assembly needs.
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures, equipment, and piping systems through the precision welding of components.
• Select the appropriate welding methods, materials, and equipment based on the type and thickness of metals.
• Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and removing scale, slag, and other impurities.
• Securely position and clamp workpieces using jigs, fixtures, or other positioning tools.
• Safely operate welding equipment to create precise and high-quality welds.
• Inspect welded joints for defects, ensuring compliance with welding codes and industry standards.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as fitters and inspectors, to achieve accurate assembly and installation.
• Assist in setting up and laying out welding projects, ensuring proper alignment and fit-up.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Welding certification from a recognized program is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Combo Welder in industrial environments.
• Proficiency in multiple welding techniques, including Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Comprehensive understanding of metallurgy, welding processes, and industry standards.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Physical capability to work in various positions, including bending, stooping, and lifting heavy materials.
