Job summary

PALA Interstate, LLC is seeking a skilled welder for stick and TIG welding of carbon and stainless piping in an industrial setting. You will read and interpret job specs, blueprints, and diagrams, and work from elevated platforms. The role requires at least four years as a certified welder or two years as Certified Welder with additional training.

Proficiency in pipe welding and ability to pass site welding tests is required. Safety and quality workmanship are essential.

Qualifications

• Four+ years as certified welder or two years as Certified Welder with ABC training.
• Experience in stick and TIG pipe welding.
• Welding of carbon, stainless steel and alloys.
• Ability to pass site welding tests.

Responsibilities

• Reads layouts, blueprints, diagrams, and welding procedures to determine work.
• Plans sequence and selects tools and equipment.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Performs SMAW, TIG, and Flux Core welding.
• Cleans joints and preheats parts as required.
• Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, and reassembling parts.
