Job summary

The Systems Group is seeking a Combo Pipe Welder for a 6-week engagement at our Apple Grove, WV site. The role requires physical welding of piping systems and related components, with emphasis on safety and productivity in our nationwide operations. Expect a demanding schedule and on-site work environment.

You will lay out, weld, and install piping, read blueprints, and work with hand and power tools to complete assignments per procedures. Per diem and overtime are provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must observe and adjust welding process (speed/voltage/amperage) as needed.
• Must read and interpret prints and plans.
• Must properly use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies before assembly.
• Weld together metal components such as piping systems, plates, pipe, and tube using electric arc-welding equipment.
• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and interference with other workers.
• Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

Location: Apple Grove, WV

Pay Rate: Up to $36/Hour +$120/day Per Diem

Hours: 60 Hours/ Week

Duration: 6 Weeks

Combo Pipe Welder Job Responsibilities:

• Weld in any direction - flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions

Combo Pipe Welder Job Skills:

• Must be able to observe and recognize problems during the welding process and adjust the speed, voltage, amperage, or feed of the rod
• Must be able to read and interpret prints and plans
• Must be able to properly use tools
