ADVICS Manufacturing Georgia is seeking a Combo Shift Lead to facilitate brake pad production in a safe, efficient manner. You will support operators, train new staff, and ensure ongoing process controls are maintained.

Facilitate the manufacture of high quality brake pads in a safe and efficient manner; keeping in mind the needs of the company, our customers, our employees, and our community.
A non-supervisory member of the work group who will assist operators and supervisors in accomplishing daily objectives on the production lines. Assists with training, ensuring process controls are maintained, and performing tasks that take away from production time.
Essential Functions of the position are:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with some leadership preferred. Experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook required. The following skills and experience are needed to be a successful lead:

Commitment to Safety – Understands, encourages and carries out the principles of integrated safety management; complies with or oversees the compliance with safety policies and procedures; completes all require EHS training; takes personal responsibility for safety.
Reliability – Personally responsible; completes work in a timely, consistent manner; works hours necessary to complete assigned work; is regularly present and punctual; arrives prepared for work; is committed to doing the best job possible; keeps commitments.
Problem Solving – Anticipates problems; see how a problem and its solution will affect other units; gathers information before making decisions; weigh alternatives against objectives and arrives at reasonable decisions; adapts well to changing priorities, deadlines and directions; works to eliminate all processes which do not add value; is willing to take action, even under pressure, criticism or tight deadlines; takes informed risks; recognizes and accurately evaluates the signs of a problem; analyzes current procedures for possible improvements; notifies manager of problems in a timely manner.
Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.
