BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking an Integrated Supply Hardware Commodity Manager to ensure quality, cost-effective material supports vehicle production from sourcing to direct material delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 8 years in supply chain/procurement.
• Experience as a direct buyer with end-to-end procurement responsibilities.
• Proven ability to drive outcomes across cross-functional teams.
• Strategic sourcing experience including supplier transitions and cost reductions.
• Understanding of end-to-end production value streams and ERP systems.
• Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve results.

Job Description

The Integrated Supply Hardware Commodity Manager will be responsible for ensuring Quality, Cost Effective Material is available to support Vehicle Production from sourcing to direct material delivery to the production line.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely vehicle sales through steady, robust supply of Quality material at a profitable cost.
• Fully accountable for performance of commodity suppliers, and availability of commodity parts inclusive of cross-functional BAE internal support required to achieve on-time delivery.
• Oversight and management of the daily material handling operations of Integrated Supply hardware for the York, Anniston, and Elgin manufacturing facilities
• Responsible for the daily lineside presentation of material and management of shortages
• Develop support staff and improve processing of material utilizing input from cross-functional team to reduce replenishment cycle times
• Manage team of BU and salaried employees responsible for stocking and management of IST material used in production
• Work closely with Materials Value Streams to assess alignment of Integrated Supply materials to support production
• Manage and develop buyers who can own Procurement end-to-end from requirements shaping, through Sourcing, Order Placement, Order Management, Fulfillment, and Production Support.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive commodity strategy focusing on key factors like:
• Maintaining adequate capacity through a stable of reliable and effective suppliers
• Continuously improving cost and quality performance
• Managing single/sole source risk and component obsolescence
• Positioning BAE Systems to respond to changing market conditions and customer demands
• Support Production needs and demands through buyers’ effective expediting/fulfillment of critical shortages and support of resolution of on-going and recurring production impacts.
• Identification and resolution of complex technical challenges within the supply chain through close partnership with Supply Chain Engineering.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or equivalent experience. Work experience considered in lieu of formal education
• Experience as a Direct Buyer
• Demonstrated Experience in driving outcomes through complex cross-functional barriers
• Strategic Sourcing Experience - inclusive of improved delivery performance, cost reduction efforts, effective supplier transitions, multi-sourcing, and supplier exits.
• Understanding of end-to-end Production Value stream, with demonstrated ability to lead teams in effectively supporting production customers.
• Familiarity with ERP
• Ability to identify and drive actionable outcomes through influence.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $122400 - $208080

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
