Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Combat Engineer to design and build bridges, roads, secure perimeters, and tactical firing systems while learning to safely detect and neutralize mines and other hazards. You’ll develop skills in demolition, bridge construction, and heavy equipment operation, with training that leads to civilian construction and engineering careers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 and no older than 35 at enlistment.
• Enlistment in Army National Guard required.
• Interest in engineering and construction is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Construct fighting positions and bridges.
• Place and detonate explosives as trained.
• Conduct route clearance of obstacles and rivers.
