Job summary

Liquidity Services in Columbus, OH is seeking a Stockroom Associate to manage the backroom, receive shipments, unpack products, tag items, and restock shelves while keeping the stockroom clean and orderly.

This role supports the sales team by replenishing the sales floor after shipments and during recovery periods, and may involve operating material handling equipment and reporting any discrepancies promptly.

Qualifications

  • Previous stockroom experience is preferred but not necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Organized and have attention to detail.
  • Priority-setting and time management.
  • Communication skills: Interacting with drivers and other Retail Rush staff.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload deliveries and process incoming inventory.
  • Keep accurate stock records and verify invoices/manifest/BoL against deliveries.
  • Notify management when new product arrives.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and safe stockroom environment.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards to the Manager.
  • Move products from stockroom to the sales floor for display and purchase.
  • Execute daily stocking tasks, including receiving shipments and replenishing inventory.

  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.

Job description

The Stockroom Associate is responsible for managing and organizing merchandise in a retail store's backroom, including receiving shipments, unpacking products, tagging items, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and orderly stockroom. Theposition focuses on maintaining the overall flow of inventory, managing stockroom organization, and assisting with shipments. Assist sales team in replenishing sales floor after shipment or during recovery periods.

Responsibilities

Receiving and Unloading: Accepting deliveries and processing incoming inventory.

Inventory Management: Keeping accurate stock records, scanning products, and verifying invoices /manifest/ BoL against deliveries

Notify Management when new product arrives

Stockroom Organization: Maintaining a neat, organized, and safe stockroom environment

Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or safety hazards to the Manager

Replenishment: Moving products from the stockroom to the sales floor for display and purchase.

  • Execute daily stocking tasks, including receiving shipments, replenishing sales floor inventory, and organizing stockroom

Collaborate with team members to meet store and customer service goals

Operate material handling equipment to move stock

Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines

Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:

Employees must be able to:

  • Work in a typical stockroom environment where there may be uneven floor surfaces.
  • Work in an environment where internal temperatures may vary based on climate change.
  • Bend, squat, twist, stand, lift, climb, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds – assisted lifting is available on request.
  • Climb ladders when required.
  • Pull and push products that weigh 60 plus pounds utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
