Job summary

Mechanical Optimizers, LLC in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to own the execution of multiple projects from turnover to closeout. You will drive schedule, budget, procurement, and change management, while maintaining customer relationships and field coordination.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial HVAC or related PM work, with a solid understanding of drawings, specs, and cost control. Travel to project sites across the region is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC, mechanical construction, or related project management experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC construction including equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and coordination with other trades.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Own the successful execution of assigned projects from turnover through final closeout, including financial performance, schedule, procurement, change management, customer relationships, field coordination, quality, and documentation.
• Manage project budget and gross margin from award through completion; monitor costs and forecast cost-to-complete.
• Coordinate manpower and installation plans with Field Managers, foremen, and installers; maintain presence on active jobsites.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, project documentation, meeting requirements, and correspondence; document scope changes and delays.
• Drive timely project closeout, including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, final change orders, and handoff to the service team.
