A respected Owner’s Representative firm is seeking a talented Construction Estimator / Preconstruction Manager to join their Columbia team. This role focuses on leading cost estimates, developing budgets, and guiding clients through projects in Education and Healthcare sectors. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with 2–10+ years of relevant experience. Enjoy a balanced workload with no travel required, in a supportive smaller-office culture that values collaboration and client service.
Qualifications
2–10+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating with a GC, CM, or Owner’s Rep firm.
Strong foundation in commercial construction cost management, ideally in Education, Healthcare, Municipal, or Commercial sectors.
Ability to create conceptual estimates with limited design information.
Responsibilities
Lead conceptual, schematic, and detailed cost estimates for a variety of project types.
Develop, manage, and update project budgets throughout planning and design.
Review contractor proposals, lead scope reviews, and provide cost recommendations.
