Job summary

The Diocese of St. Augustine is seeking a Columbarium and Groundskeeper at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Saint Augustine, FL.

This role involves cleaning, maintenance, and assisting with placement of cremains and plaques, plus daily grounds upkeep across multiple church properties. The position is full-time (30 hours per week) with a pay rate of $20 per hour, reporting to the Business Administrator and Director of Community Outreach.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School diploma or GED.
• Six months or more related experience preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean the columbarium and church grounds daily.
• Assist in placing cremains and plaques on all four columbaria.
• Maintain sidewalks, gardens, fountains, irrigation, and sprinkler system.
• Lock/unlock gates and perform weekly/daily maintenance tasks.
• Cross-train with other maintenance staff to cover duties.
