RTP Company in Winona, Minnesota, seeks a Colorist to monitor and adjust production color using existing formulas and spectrophotometer software. This role requires operating extrusion and injection molding equipment to create color chips and ensuring colors meet customer specifications.
The 3rd shift runs 11pm–7am with potential overtime on weekends. Training occurs on 1st shift, and applicants must pass safety-related tests and read/write English.
The Colorist is responsible for monitoring and correcting production color utilizing existing formulas and spectrophotometer software.
3rd shift 11pm to 7am with a Sunday night start. Potential for overtime including weekends, Saturday and or Sunday. Employees are assigned to an A/B rotating weekend schedule. Training will take place on 1st shift, 7am to 3pm.
$28.60/hour, including shift differential
This position must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for an 8-hour shift. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, respirators, face shield, hearing protection, Tyveksuit, gloves, etc. Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible. Proper personal safety equipment is to be used while performing this job as pointed out by plant safety procedures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk of electric shock and non-hazardous chemical agents. Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard.
