Job summary

Description

The Colorist is responsible for monitoring and correcting production color utilizing existing formulas and spectrophotometer software.

Work Schedule

2nd shift Monday-Friday, 3-11pm. Overtime as required including weekends, Saturday and or Sunday. Employees are assigned to an A/B rotating overtime schedule.

Hourly Rate

$28.20/hour, including shift differential

Responsibilities

• Formulate new color formulations for plastic materials that meet the customers specification

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

• Must be able to operate/monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production

Education and Experience

• Passing score on the RTP Company Color Test
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This position must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for an 8-hour shift. Specific vision abilities may require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires the use of safety equipment as dictated by the work area such as safety glasses and shoes, respirators, face shield, hearing protection, Tyveksuit , gloves, etc . Exposure to noise levels above the OSHA action level may be possible . Proper personal safety equipment is to be used while performing this job as pointed out by plant safety procedures. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, and risk of electric shock and non-hazardous chemical agents.
