The position supports the Division's mission to deliver excellent colorectal surgical care and to advance knowledge through research and education, with a strong commitment to teaching on-site at the Richmond campus.

Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in General Surgery.
• Advanced training fellowship in an ACGME-accredited Colon andRectal Surgery program.
• Commitment to Outcomes, Clinical and/or Basic ScienceResearch.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment ofrespect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty,staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences.

Responsibilities

• Teaching residents and medical students in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Participate in clinical and/or basic science research relevant to Colorectal Surgery.
• Serve on University, Health System and Departmental committees as requested.
• Provide part-time colorectal clinical care at the MCV campus and help grow the practice.
