Qualifications

• Board Certification or Eligibility in General Surgery.
• Advanced training fellowship in an ACGME-accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery program.
• Commitment to Outcomes, Clinical and/or Basic Science Research.
• Demonstrated ability to foster respect and civility among faculty, staff, and students.

Responsibilities

• Mission of the unit: deliver superior patient care with integrity and kindness while advancing knowledge.
• Participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Engage in clinical and/or basic science research and interdisciplinary collaborations.
• Serve on committees and assist with recruitment, training and placement of residents and fellows.
• Develop a part-time colorectal clinical practice on the MCV campus with leadership support.
