Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Colorado is seeking a Travel RN to support rural Critical Access Hospitals. You will deliver direct patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and adapt care plans to remote settings while upholding safety and quality.

This role offers housing stipend or provided accommodation, travel reimbursement, and professional development within a dynamic, supportive team. A valid RN license in the state, BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred, plus 1 year acute care experience.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in acute care settings; rural healthcare a plus.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; foster collaboration with patients and team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rural communities and travel on contract.
  • Willingness to travel and work on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' conditions and implement evidence-based nursing interventions tailored to rural healthcare.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate patient care activities.
  • Administer medications and treatments with precision and efficiency, ensuring patient safety.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to treatment, adapting care plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on disease management and community resources.
  • Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts in rural settings.
