Building Colorado's Future Together seeks an Insurance Commissioner to lead the Colorado Division of Insurance, overseeing licensing, solvency, market conduct, and consumer protections in a dynamic regulatory environment.

The role reports to the Governor’s Office with responsibility for strategic planning, budget stewardship, and collaboration with state agencies, industry stakeholders, and consumer groups to keep Colorado's insurance marketplace fair and accessible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in business, government, law, or accounting.
• Experience building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the Colorado Division of Insurance operations and ensure alignment with state goals.
• Direct the division’s budget and ensure fiscal discipline.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team and direct examinations of carriers.
• License carriers and producers and enforce insurance regulations.
• Represent Colorado in national regulatory forums and engage with stakeholders.
