The ideal candidate will handle a caseload of construction defect matters from intake through resolution, including multi-party actions, and will prosecute and defend delay, disruption, and acceleration claims for owners, developers, GCs, and subs.

Required: Juris Doctor with an active Colorado license and 6–10 years of progressive litigation experience in construction law.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required with an active Colorado license.
• 6–10 years of progressive litigation experience with a substantial focus on construction law.
• Experience managing construction defect matters from intake through resolution.
• Experience prosecuting and defending construction delay, disruption, and acceleration claims.

Responsibilities

• Represent developers, builders, general contractors, design professionals, and subcontractors in construction defect litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
• Collaborate with engineering, architectural, and forensic experts to evaluate defect claims.
• Stay current on Colorado construction defect statutes, including CDARA and statutes of repose and limitation.
• Analyze CPM schedules and evaluate delay impacts with scheduling experts.
• Review contracts and scheduling records to develop litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
• Take depositions and participate in mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and staff; participate in business development.
