Job summary

Crazy Shirts’ Color Specialist is responsible for reproducing formulated inks to match color comps and support the print schedule in a manufacturing environment. You will develop color yields and maintain color consistency across products.

You will stay current on color matching for opaque, translucent and white bases, communicate effects of mixtures, and script the color ledger for all designs; duties include assisting ink mixers and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to distinguish colors, color shades, and slight color variations.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with superiors, peers and subordinates.
• Comfortable with digitizing equipment and standard office productivity tools.

Summary

Crazy Shirts’ purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Color Specialist’s goal is to consistently replicate formulated inks in the proper yields in support of the print schedule.

Essential Job Functions

• Developing the yield composition and consistency of color mixing to match approved color comps.
• Keeping current with color matching developments with respect to opaque, translucent and white bases and the effects of different mixture properties.
• Comprehending and communicating the effects and reactions of using different mixtures, compounds and supplier differentials.
• Scripting and maintaining the color recipe ledger for all designs.
• Mixing inks in support of ink mixers.
• All other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Job Requirements

• Standing for long periods of time, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, carrying and moving items
• Able to lift 55lbs
• Manual dexterity for operating and calibrating equipment
• Ability to perform essential job functions in an environment with varied noise levels, light and heat exposure and chemicals
• The plant environment may be dusty, noisy, and open to interior temperature changes
