Job summary

Technomark North America is seeking a full-time Screen Printing Ink Mixer & Formulator for first shift in Minnetonka, MN. You will use your ink expertise to develop color formulas and mix inks for production in accordance with procedures and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Mix standard and matched color ink and perform color checks.
• Maintain inventory and order raw materials and supplies.

• Perform vendor quality checks on incoming ink.
• Maintain electronic files, color formulas and databases.
• Calibrate, operate and maintain the Datacolor Spectrophotometer.
• Support R&D with projects and customer requests; monitor EL lamp production.
• Record all activity in JobBoss and travelers, including time and yield.

SCREEN PRINTING INK MIXER & FORMULATOR JOB POSTING

Technomark has a great position for a full-time first shift Screen Printing Ink Mixer & Formulator who has excellent judgement of color and who is detail-oriented, efficient, reliable and dependable. Use your extensive knowledge of inks to develop color formulas and mix screen printing ink for production according to established company procedures and customer requirements.

Days: Monday-Friday

Pay Range: $20-$22

Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM with occasional overtime

Location: Minnetonka, MN

Essential Job Functions:

• Mix standard and matched color ink, sample ink batches, print swatches, and perform color checks per color specifications.
• Maintain inventory and order all necessary raw materials and supplies.
• Estimate quantity of ink to be mixed.
• Perform vendor quality checks on incoming ink.
• Maintain electronic files, databases and color formulas.
• Calibrate, operate and maintain the Datacolor Spectrophotometer
• Assist R/D Engineering with projects and customer requests. Monitor Electroluminescent Lamp production.
• Using JobBoss and travelers, properly record all activity of operations including time, quantity good, quantity bad and the reason for the bad parts.

Essential Job Requirements:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required; two year Technical degree in related field preferred.

Experience:

2-3 years color matching experience in screen printing, digital imaging, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills:

• Excellent math skills.
• Ability to resolve complex issues.
• Extensive knowledge of inks and related chemicals.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
• Skills in laboratory work, computer, and measurement equipment helpful.
• Must have an excellent judgement of color.

Physical Requirements:

Performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
