cclcareers is seeking a color specialist to ensure the color accuracy and consistency of on-site printed materials. This role requires deep knowledge of color theory, color management systems, and the gravure printing process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ten years of experience in gravure printing, ink formulation, or ink room operations.
  • Proficiency in color management software (X-Rite, Datacolor) and gravure printing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of color theory and color calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Verify ink consistency and color accuracy before press runs.
  • Troubleshoot color deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain production and quality records of color decisions and processes.
  • Support process improvements related to ink usage, waste reduction, and efficiency.
  • Establish standard color matching procedures and best practices.
  • Train color booth operators on color theory, management practices, ink mixing, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in developing color training materials and standard work instructions.
  • Communicate with CLM team, process coordinators, team leads and other site employees.
