Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an experienced collision repair technician to perform disassembly, repair and reassembly of vehicles according to industry standards and the repair plan. You will use hand and power tools, collaborate with estimators, and inspect repaired vehicles to ensure safety and quality before return to customers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• I-CAR / ASE certifications preferred.
• 2-3 years’ collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• Customer-focused attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist collision estimators in assessing damage.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure according to work order.
• Remove upholstery, electrical components to access damaged areas; store parts to prevent damage.
• Mend damaged panels by hammering, welding, and replacing parts; reassemble after painting.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, sander, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before painting.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality.
• Comply with all SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.
