Job summary

Classic Collision Wasilla Repair Center in Wasilla, AK is seeking a dedicated Collision Repair Technician to perform vehicle disassembly, component access, and body repair with attention to safety and quality. You will work with a team to ensure efficient, high-quality repairs and adherence to established procedures.

The role emphasizes hands-on repair work, tool proficiency, and collaborative problem-solving to deliver dependable results for each customer vehicle.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age required.
• 2–3 years collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble vehicle portions to assist collision estimators in assessing damage for a 100% repair plan.
• Identify all needed repairs to minimize supplements and repair time.
• Plan work procedure following the work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, electrical parts, and other components to access damaged areas; store parts properly.
• Repair body damage by hammering, filling dents, welding parts; ensure proper gaps and fits; reassemble after painting.
• Operate hand and power tools (welder, grinder, sander, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before the Paint Dept. tests.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned; follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
