Job summary

Boyd Group Services is seeking a Porter at our AL Decatur location to enhance customer vehicle readiness. You will pre-wash vehicles, clean interior and exterior after repairs, and ensure orderly production and office spaces, contributing to a smooth repair process.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple duties in a fast-paced shop.
• Automotive experience preferred to understand vehicles and repairs.
• Clear close vision required for inspection and detailing.
• Must be 18+ and have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the office interior (garbage, floors, countertops).
• Clean production area interior, dispose of waste, store tools and equipment properly.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds, including shoveling sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs; clean vehicles after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

Compensation Details:
