Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a Porter to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the shop and office spaces. You will help by pre-washing vehicles before repairs, performing daily cleaning, and supporting production areas to ensure a smooth workflow.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic automotive experience preferred, and a valid driver’s license. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Perform daily interior office housekeeping and production area cleaning.
• Maintain parking areas and grounds in neat condition; shovel sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs and clean exterior/interior after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail
