Gerber Collision & Glass in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Porter to complement quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to delivery and maintaining the appearance of shop and office facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, organizing, parking lot maintenance, and transporting vehicles to sublet locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma / GED preferred.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• 18 years or older and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan is executed consistently.
• Keep interior office clean: floors, trash, countertops.
• Maintain production area cleanliness and tools storage.
• Keep parking lots and grounds neat; shovel sidewalks when needed.
• Pre-washes vehicles before repairs and cleans after work.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver’s license
• Strong attention to detail
