Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of automotive painting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail for color matching and finishes.
• Proper prep surfaces with primer, buffing, polishing.
• Familiarity with different paints, coatings, tools and safety equipment.
• Interest in automotive painting with long-term development in painting trade.

Responsibilities

• Operates and uses body shop equipment properly and safely.
• Removes rust, grease, and dirt from surfaces.
• Masks and protects parts not to be painted or coated.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty for smooth surfaces.
• Mixes paint and coating liquids per specifications.
• Prepares surfaces by buffing, polishing, and priming.
• Paints surfaces using sprayers or brushes to high-quality finishes.
