Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Collision Center is seeking a Prepper to prepare and refinish vehicles and maintain shop equipment, working to meet schedules and quality standards. This is a flat-rate, on-site position based in New York.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of prepper/body shop experience, basic paint prep knowledge, paint/primer handling skills, and the ability to work Saturdays and holidays when required. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent.
• 2 years Prepper experience body shop experience.
• Basic knowledge of paint surface preparation.
• Knowledge to mix and use paint and primer.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• Must work Holidays when required.
• Maintain professional appearance at all times.
• Be able to withstand physical demands of the job.
• Must have valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles, damaged areas on vehicles, or body parts assigned by the Collision Center Manager.
• Perform prep work efficiently with the highest level of quality.
• Complete tasks on-time or ahead of schedule.
• Use materials carefully to minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Provide an outstanding brand and customer experience through preparation, attitude, and teamwork.
